Phystream's strength lies in the expertise and experience of the founding directors as system designers within the telecommunications industry with a record of design achievement encompassing hardware, software, FPGA and ASIC development. In other words we have been exactly in the position of our customers.

We could see the potential for integration of complete subsystems within the programmable silicon technologies now available. However, taking advantage of these technologies can be a risky distraction for companies focussed on the engineering of complex system solutions. We set out to design a platform for data processing subsystems which would take the risk out of such developments.

The phyCore platform which resulted has succeeded in this - along with the base architecture comes a simulation tool which enables accurate performance estimation at an early stage in the development cycle, and a methodology which leads to optimum system architecture and maximum flexibility.

It is our aim to enable client companies to maximise the benefit of programmable technology by providing IP for flexible data processing subsystems that can be quickly and seamlessly introduced into new products or product enhancements.
