phyCore is more than a piece of hardware IP. It comes with a software library and application template, which provides a complete operating system for mixed hardware/software data processing applications. This is all delivered for single project use under the terms of the Xilinx Common License Consortium SignOnce IP License.

Tools
The phyCore modelling tool is provided on the basis of an annual license

Hardware Peripherals
phyCore is provided with a standard interface. Application specific interface blocks and bulk memory controllers are available as individual modules, also under the terms of the 'SIGN Once' IP License

Network interworking application software
Fast moving standards and industry practice demand flexibility from system solutions. At the same time, ever-higher performance is demanded by customers trying to exploit new technology. Phystream understands the commercial imperatives as well as the technological challenge required to design the subsystems. phyCore is ideal for many data protocol interworking functions typically found in switching and routing equipment.

Applications currently available include ATM inverse multiplexing (IMA) and circuit emulation service.
